Another fantastic event by the Odd Fellows in Mount Zion. They had 140 plus entries, great prizes from great sponsors, great food and refreshments. Hand out a special thank you to Billy Jacobs, Pat Drum and all the volunteers.

Forsyth Family Fun 5K Results 2012
Forsyth had 149 5K finishers today and probably 30 or more milers, despite the heat and humidity. Thanks to Sarah Bradley, Leslie McElroy, Nanette, and also to Lyle Saubert who came out but I cut loose based on the abundance of great help already on hand. I will get results posted in the next few days. Aftan Noon won in 18:23!

There were 119 runners/walkers participated in the 2012 Bement Old Glory Days 5K Run/Walk. Pictured is Aftan Noon of Decatur, Overall Female winner 18:16.6; Eugene Huang from Los Angeles, California, Overall Male winner 18:45.7; Coleen LeCrone of Ivesdale, Female Masters winner 28:17.8 and Duane Schlabach from Monticello, Male Masters winner 21:15.5 Aftan, a runner at SIUE, broke the female runner record by 8 seconds set by Kelly Fox in 1998. Andrew Brown was this years event coordinator.
