DRC Sponsored Races
Every year DRC organizes premier sponsored races.
There are four sponsored race events with a number of difficulty levels. This allows participation no matter your age or fitness levels.
Keep an eye on this space for upcoming sponsored races.

DRC Grand Slam Medal
The Decatur Running Club is happy to announce the new award medal for finishers of 4 of 5 selected races for 2013. The races are the DRC sponsored races: Penguin in the Park, Whitmore Spring Classic, Shoreline Classic and Sand Creek Trail race. And the additional race for 2013 is the AHA Dr. G. Richard Locke 5K Run.
All runners who finish any 4 of these 5 races, will receive the medal!
Special recognition for all runners who finish all 5 races!

History - Club Info
From the mid-1970s, the Decatur Running Club has existed as a program designed to promote health and fitness in the Decatur community, as well as serve the needs of its members through social and competitive venues.
Based in Decatur, Illinois, and comprised of members from Decatur and the central Illinois region, the Decatur Running Club is welcome to all who are interested in keeping connected to the running community.
